Phase Response is a collection of songs that I wrote during an especially strange and turbulent time in my life, filled with some of my highest highs and lowest lows. The events of the past couple of years have given rise to an alternating rhythm of peak self-confidence and crippling uncertainty, of simultaneous elation and absolute paralysis. The one thing that has kept me grounded throughout it all has been my relationships: the steady reminders from my partner, family and friends that life will always have challenging phases, and that the richness of our environments - the love of people we surround ourselves with and ways we choose to fill our time - brings out our best response. This EP is a love letter to them, and an exploration of how we bridge the gap between life's trials and the inner monologues, both positive and negative, that we construct in response. Thanks for checking out my little project!




Thanks first and foremost to Andrea Goss, my fiance and first-listener for your love, support and patience with my extremely annoying late night living room recording sessions and neediness for feedback. Thanks to my super-talented friends Aaron Garcia, Forrest Reiland, Jesse Miles, Lonni Farero and Rapheal Williams for lending their musical and artistic voices to this effort. Thanks especially to Jake Morris for not only lending his singing and synth-playing abilities to this project, but also being my musical mentor/daddy and a strong voice of encouragement throughout this whole process.
